“The Chef’s Table” Franklin Lakes, NJ. Classical French cuisine expertly prepared!
I recently tried this little gem with my family for our Easter celebration. The restaurant seats about 35 people tops. The walls are covered with artwork displayed by local artists (for sale at a reasonable price). The Chef’s Table is chef owned and family run.
I LOVE escargot and look for different preparations. I wasn’t disappointed to find my snails nestled in individual encroute cups of flaky pastry and garlic butter, beautifully presented… an Easter egg hunt for grown-ups! They didn’t last long….
As a pescetarian (a vegetarian who eats fish) I had many options on the menu. I chose the pan seared tuna in a buerre blanc sauce.
Desserts flew at my table and I chose the traditional crème brulee which was sweet, creamy and crunchy…but my husband had the apple tart with green apple sorbet. Presentation was beautiful and he always shares!
Reservations are a must and I believe there is a waiting list so plan accordingly. The restaurant doesn’t have a liquor license so it is a BYOB. You can check out the menu online beforehand to make a smart wine pairing and bring some along.
